Mt. St. Helens Club’s active membership currently exceeds 100 individuals and we’re growing every year.

We invite you to join us for all kinds of outdoor adventures, social events, dining and potlucks, community service and conservation activities, weekend getaways, and more.

The first step to becoming a member is to join us for an activity. Check out our upcoming events and call the leader of the activity you’d like to attend. The leader will confirm the details of the event, give you the meeting location and time, answer your questions, and may ask you some questions about your experience and abilities. You’re expected to review the guest guidelines before attending an activity.

After you’ve participated as a guest in three club activities (within a 12 month period), you’ll receive an invitation to join. Your application must be sponsored by two active or life members. After you have acquired these signatures, you’ll return your completed application and pay dues through one of the options described below.

Current dues are as follows:

One-time initiation fee for new members: $15

Annual dues:

$35 (adults 18 yrs and older)
$5 (ages 12-17 yrs)

Annual dues are paid each January and pro-rated for new members who join in other months.

Making Dues Payments:

Dues payments can be made online from our member payments page, or by mailing a check to:

Mt. St. Helens Club, Inc.
PO Box 843
Longview, WA 98632

Checks or cash can also be delivered in person to the treasurer or membership committee chair at meetings or activities, or checks can be mailed to their home address. See your membership directory for contact information.

Other important membership information:

All guests and members are required to sign a liability waiver before participating in each club sponsored activity.

All members agree to read and abide by the club’s Constitution and Bylaws and Activity Guidelines.

A spouse who is unable to hike and whose husband or wife is an active member of the club may become an active member by working for the club three times in 12 consecutive months at an activity approved by the Executive Committee and by paying the required dues and initiation fees.
